Investment Assistant & Project Manager

About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing operational and administrative support for high-level complex investment projects as well as the daily operations of the Office of Investments Department. Research and compiles information, designs and composes concepts/ideas for annual reports and printing materials for annual meetings, and coordinates departmental project activities and events. Key responsibilities:
- Manages projects within the project scope, timelines, and deadlines, and executes against required deliverables. Keeps track of project progress and develops reporting procedures. Accomplishes department mission by completing given project results as needed.
- Collaborates and works with the Director, Office of Investments, to implement the scope, communicating project schedules, tasks, and task assignments.
- Screens, prioritizes, and redirects requests for information directed to the Director, Office of Investments via phone calls and drop-in visitors based on knowledge of department-wide functions and operations, investment operations and contacts; responds to routine requests and advises the Director, Office of Investments of items needing immediate attention; maintains the Director, Office of Investments’ calendar and itinerary.
- Serves as liaison between the Director, Office of Investments and contacts at the Divisional, National and International Headquarters levels as well as contacts outside of The Salvation Army which are often senior officials, corporate or community leaders, investment advisors, etc.; represents the Director, Office of Investments professionally at all times and ensures the accuracy of all information and effectively coordinates arrangements for meetings as directed by the Director, Office of Investments.
What we are looking for in you:
Two years coursework from an accredited college or university
And
Three years of progressively responsible experience working in a general office with at least one year performing work related to the Office of Investments, project management experience preferred
or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
License & Certifications
- Valid State Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
