Assistant Store Manager
Location: Union South Carolina
Position Type: Part Time Hourly
Rate of Pay: $13.25 per hour
Work Schedule: Varying shifts between 10:00am and 5:30pm, 5 days per week Monday through Saturday shifts.
About this opportunity:
This Position is responsible for
Key responsibilities:
• Assists the Family Store Manager in supervising the day-to-day operations of the Family Store
• Supervises and participates in the cashier activities ensuring that all customers are treated in a polite and friendly manner
• Supervises and participates in maintaining the store displays; arranges, rotates, and re-stocks displayed items
What we are looking for in you:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.and previous work in related field with Children and Youth.
• Knowledge of effective and efficient techniques for merchandising retail store items.
• Knowledge of effective customer service techniques
• Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate the work of subordinate employees
• Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Duties are performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
Work is performed in a stock-room, warehouse, or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in whether; there are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors and the like.
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
