Location: Sarasota, Florida 

Position Type: Full Time – 40 hours/week – Tuesday to Saturday – Flexible Shifts (11am to 7pm, 1pm to 9pm, etc..)

Pay Range: $30/hr

About this opportunity:

The Life Recovery Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility involves providing leadership to the Life Recovery team of maintaining order, guest expectations, and ensuring a safe and drug-free environment while working collaboratively with other staff to provide quality services and maintaining a therapeutic community.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • This position plans, directs, supervises, coordinates, and monitors the day-to-day operations of the Life Recovery Program.
  • Directly supervises a team of two (2) and provides support and intentional leadership to ensure excellent service that aligns with The Salvation Army mission and values.
  • Coordinates and monitors client activities and ensures work is compliant with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provides an advanced level of direct services for all Life Recovery residents (30 clients max) of the Voluntary Interim Placement-Enhanced Recovery (VIP-ER) Program and Community Recovery Program (CRP).
  • Completes accurate data entry to include, but not limited to: client logs, accident and incident reports, drug/ alcohol test results, reports, stats and sign in/sign outs.

 

What we are looking for in you:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, or a related social services field,

And

Two years progressively responsible experience performing social services work with at least one year in a supervisory capacity,

Or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Works is performed in a normal office Shelter environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like depending on the day’s needs.
