Receptionist - Weekend 2nd shift

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has opening for a part-time weekend 2^nd shift Receptionist  for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Job Summary:

The Receptionist answers the telephone in a courteous manner and directs calls to the appropriate destination; records accurate and complete messages when necessary; receives and receipts deliveries and donations; greets and announces visitors and clients; provides general information about The Salvation Army's operations and services; performs routine clerical work such as typing and filing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of community resources, excellent communication skills, including ability to respond to callers with patience, objectivity and non-judgmental attitude, demonstrate ability to problem solve and multi-task.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required and two years of progressively responsible experience working in a major firm with telephone switchboard responsibilities, customer service and / call center background or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements, ability to read, write, and communicate the English language, ability to read and comprehend legal terminology in order to determine compliance, ability to perform public speaking, ability to calculate figures and analyze mathematical computations with accuracy, work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
