Program Aide
Location: Louisville South, KY
Hours – Mon-Fri 8:30am to 4:30pm, 3 Seasonal full-time positions
Position Type: Program Aide – Summer Camp
Assists in facilitating and monitoring assigned recreational activities of the Day Camp programs; supervises and provides homework tutoring; transports patrons to and from the Day Camp programs &events; assists in maintaining facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Key responsibilities:
- Supervises and participates in organized group games amongst children; leads and motivates children to exhibit good sportsmanship.
- Stimulates interest and participation in all activities within the policies and operating procedures of the organization.
- Assists in fulfilling chores such as preparing the daily snack, setting up homework supplies, maintaining the Community Center in good condition, and cleaning up at the end of the day; maintains the general cleanliness, orderliness, and security of the assigned building area.
What we are looking for in you:
- High school diploma or G.E.D
And
- six months’ experience coaching and supervising athletic events and experience maintaining grounds
Or
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by alternating between sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent basis. Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment, where physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like may occur.
