Facilities Manager

Since 2003, SA Hospitality Group has expanded to a selective group of iconic New York neighborhoods with its three brands: Sant Ambroeus, Casa Lever, Felice with 24 restaurant locations in Manhattan, Southampton, NY, East Hampton, NY, Aspen, CO, Milan, Italy, and Palm Beach, FL.
Position Purpose: Accountable for overseeing all maintenance operations to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the properties. This role also provides support for larger maintenance projects, manages vendor coordination, and assists with various operational needs as required.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance and Repairs:
- Oversee all physical assets of the properties, including safety, appearance and all maintenance operations.
- Provide solutions to any issues or concerns that may arise pertaining to the physical assets of the property to Identify and address potential issues before they affect operations.
- Create a detailed, structured Preventative Maintenance plan that includes maintenance tasks, schedules, and resources required.
- Inspect equipment, furniture and reported areas to find out malfunctions or damages (including interiors of restaurants - furniture, floor, walls, displays, etc.)
- Perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Identify and address potential issues before they affect operations.
Facility Cleaning and Safety:
- Perform routine inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Conduct regular property maintenance and cleaning.
- Repair or replace all reported areas in all restaurants in a timely manner.
- Adhere to established safety and operational guidelines.
- Maintain a "clean-as-you-go" approach and ensure workspaces are organized.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Vendor and Project Coordination:
- Supervise and collaborate with maintenance vendors for larger projects or repairs, often conducted outside of regular business hours.
- Be present during the maintenance work done by outside vendors/companies (be able to assist tradesmen with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs).
- Work with external contractors to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines.
- Communicate results of all outside vendors/companies work to “accounting” and office via email.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and special projects as required.
- Support cross-functional teams and departments as needed.
Operational Support:
- Assist with deliveries, event logistics, and provide driving support when necessary.
- Offer support to the catering team for off-site events when needed.
- Ensure timely replenishment and delivery of gas tanks for outdoor heaters.
- Note that sometimes the expectation is the work to be done during nighttime as discussed and agreed (overnight).
Reporting:
- Provide locations with an update log of performed tasks – keep records of specific parts and equipment, repairs, and replacements for future reference per location.
Financial:
- Keep the company’s expenses at minimum by being innovative and open to learning by observing the repair work of others.
- Manager the purchasing of the necessary materials needed for repairs.
Minimal Essential Requirements:
- Adequate eyesight, hearing, and good physical condition
- Ability to spend 4-8 hours per day standing, walking, and carrying.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for operational needs.
