The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist oversees, monitors, and enhances the quality and compliance of services provided within SUD treatment programs. This role entails developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits and reviews, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Specialist collaborates with clinical staff, leadership, and external stakeholders to uphold high standards of care, client satisfaction, and program effectiveness.

 

**Please note this position requires candidates to be Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (CADC II) and hold such certification that is recognized by the Mental Health and Addiction Board of Oregon**

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide the program management and clinical team for focused review of SUD’s peer, low-barrier and harm reduction services.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance programs
  • Collect and analyze data related to client care, clinic operations, and compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain databases and ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist in preparing for inspections and accreditation reviews
  • Respond to record requests, using EHR software ( and possibly paper files
  • Report within LCSNW on local data points and progress toward agency excellence

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of related experience; within Quality Assurance and Improvement field, analyzing and verifying data from several types of software
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) recognized by Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)
  • HS diploma or equivalent; or 4 years experience in related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2-Confidentiality policies and procedures and practices related to Substance Use Disorder Patient Records

 

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
  • Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
