Mental Health Clinician Part Time 15 hrs per week

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is Part Time 15 hours per week - The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing counseling/psychotherapy to children and families, adults, couples, and groups. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate clinical records, relating to other staff in a supportive manner, retaining professional credentials and keeping them currentand representing the agency in the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide counseling and/or psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing emotional and mental health challenges
- Assess and diagnose clinical issues and create treatment plans in conjunction with client needs and strengths
- Create and timely maintain all necessary clinical paperwork to document assessments, service planning and client progress that meets the requirements of the clinic and the OARs in the EHR
- Utilize supervision and provide consultation to community resources when appropriate
- Follow professional, regulatory, ethical and agency standards
- Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served
- Maintain compliance with all relevant program/department requirements, including and not limited to adhering to all record-keeping and reporting requirements
- Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network, while working with a multidisciplinary team
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: This is not a supervisory position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree granted by an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field is required
- Previous experience conducting assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning acquired through internship or employment is required
- Experience with trauma-focused and evidence-based interventions
- Adhere to the code of ethics of a professional counseling association
- Collaborate with substance use disorder counselors, case managers, psychiatric medication managers and community partners to provide comprehensive client care
CREDENTIALS:
LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or QMHP-C in the State of Oregon is required; eligibility for licensure, or working toward licensure in Oregon is required
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work well under pressure and work effectively in a multicultural setting, demonstrating excellent organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills. General experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office and experience utilizing an EHR (Credible).
CLEARANCES
- Standard LCSNW criminal clearance, including national sex offender
- ORCHARDS background clearance
- SAM/OIG (healthcare sanctions)
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, professionals, and/or the general public
