Job Summary

The Portfolio Manager II is responsible for ensuring product accuracy, quality, and lifecycle efficiency across a diverse hardware portfolio. This execution-focused role involves validating new product samples, managing end-of-life items, supporting cross-functional teams, and driving continuous product improvement.

Essential Job Functions *

  • Review and validate incoming product samples against current specifications (pass/fail).
  • Maintain accurate product data across systems (PLM, ERP, WebDAM).
  • Partner with sourcing, packaging, and engineering on product quality, packaging, and sourcing issues.
  • Support end-of-life processes, including SKU rationalization and liquidation tracking.
  • Respond to internal product-related questions from sales, customer service, and other teams.
  • Ensure product and packaging consistency (e.g., colors, attributes, presentation).
  • Assist with pricing and lifecycle optimization reviews.
  • Contribute to acquisition SKU integration and cross-functional communication.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in product management, quality review, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with hardware products (e.g., hinges, anchors, picture hangers) strongly preferred.

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with ERP (JD Edwards E1 preferred) and PLM systems (Agile or similar).
  • Strong communication and ability to work across teams.
