PAY RANGE: $92,300.00 - $110,000.00 ANNUALLY

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Human Resources team as an HRIS Analyst. This role is responsible for delivering insights across the full employee lifecycle from core management information to predictive solutions. Working closely with Human Resources and Information Technology teams, this role will be responsible for managing people analytics end to end, working on people insights and analytics projects that support Credit Union goals and objectives.

The HRIS Analyst partners with HR teams and our business leaders to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.  The HRIS Analyst serves as a technical point-of-contact for Human Resources and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports Ceridian Dayforce upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise on people analytics solutions from core reporting through to data science solutions across the employee lifecycle to drive innovation & development of leading-edge insights.
  2. Generate reports/queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  3. Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  4. Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Train new system users on new processes/functionality.
  5. Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
  6. Partner with the HR leadership and HR Business Partners to support people and business planning and projects.
  7. Support the people strategy agenda of increasing the maturity and capability across the wider HR function in using data and being more “insight led” with the business.
  8. Maintain a strong internal network working closely with business unit teams around enterprise-wide data and analytics activity and keep abreast of external best practice and apply it as appropriate.
  9. Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  10. 10. Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.
  11. 11. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
  12. 12. Maintains HRIS system tables. Documents process and results.
  13. 13. Provide production support, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  14. 14. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
  15. 15. Ensure regulatory compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act and governing bodies by creating job analysis, documentation, and evaluation process; writing and modifying job descriptions; evaluating positions for exemption status; providing consultative services to management on FLSA law/CA Status and other.
  16. 16. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:

  1. Effective oral and written communication skills required to assess quantitative and qualitative data.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. All levels of staff and management.
  2. Vendors, peers in financial institutions and human resources organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  2. EXPERIENCE: 5 years or more experience in human resources, data analytics or some combination of both.
  3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  4. Possess broad knowledge of HRIS principles and practices.
  5. Strong analytical skills and mathematical skills. 
  6. Must be able to work independently and in a team.
  7. Demonstrated project management skills.
  8. Human Resources knowledge.
  9. Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues, present solutions, and handle confidentiality of data. 
  10. Ability to draw conclusion from analysis performed and present recommendations to senior management.
  11. High level of confidentiality.
  12. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint. 
  13. Strong oral and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
  2. Corrected vision within the normal range.
  3. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
  4. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
  5. May need to work unusually long work hours required to accomplish tasks.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

HRIP, PHR, or SPHR Certification preferred.
