ROLE SUMMARY 

 

As Special Projects Construction Manager for CorePower Yoga, you will be responsible for various construction management projects including temporary closures, new studio openings and extensive remodels and refreshes that require studio closure. You will partner closely with Design, Facilities, Construction and Operations internally as well as all external vendors including contractors and architects. You will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling and communications for all projects to the studio teams and leadership teams.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES 

 

- Create project scope, budget and timeline for all special projects including remodels, temporarily closed studios and new studios (as applicable)  

 

- Travel to projects to define scope and partner with onsite team to determine path forward to reopen studio on time and budget.  

  

- Ensure CPY new studio design, construction, expansions and remodels are completed per our design standards, on schedule and within budget 

   

- Create construction budgets and present budgets and projects for review to team 

 

- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on, all phases of construction including but not limited to: due diligence and construction drawing review, shop drawing review, preconstruction meeting attendance, job site inspections and supervision of contractors, and complete project turnover to operations team 

 

- Perform new studio site inspections to inspect construction progress, quality of work and compliance with lease and construction requirements, warranty work compliance, one year walk through, and remodel repair inspections 

 

- Communicate status of construction deliverables to Sr. Director of Design and Construction 

 

-Daily communication with cross-functional partners during projects and weekly communication of status to senior leadership team  

 

- Manage day to day construction project relationships with landlords, general contractors, vendors, suppliers, architects, and consultants 

 

- Responsible for on-site decision making regarding finish, trim and last-minute construction decisions relative to interior of the studio 

 

- Manage dependencies when deadlines are not met 

 

- Manage all phases of close out activities and make sure all are completed once the studios open including punch list and all close out paper work to secure construction allowances or insurance claims  

 

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

 

- Understanding of commercial construction practices, architectural design and drawing standards, material/product durability, etc. 

 

- Strong skills utilizing Microsoft Office software including Microsoft project scheduling.AutoCad experience is an asset 

 

- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

 

- Good judgment, self-motivated with ability to work with little direction 

 

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow through skills 

 

- Bachelor’s degree in design field or construction management or equivalent experience 

 

- Ability to travel 40% of schedule 

 

- Ability to work on a construction site and environment (walking, standing, bending, reaching, stooping) 

 

- 3-5 years construction project management experience with multi-unit/multi-state brand
