ROLE SUMMARY 
The Junior Audio Engineer supports the design, setup, and maintenance of audio systems across CorePower Yoga studios. This role assists in installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting audio equipment and works under the guidance of the Audio Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in audio technology and a willingness to learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. 

 

AUDIO SYSTEM SUPPORT

  • Assist in the installation and setup of audio systems in studio environments. 
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of audio equipment. 
  • Calibrate audio systems to ensure sound quality meets company standards. 
  • Support studio openings by preparing and configuring audio hardware. 
  • Participate in assessments of studio locations to determine audio needs. 
  • Configure and calibrate audio settings to ensure optimal sound quality 
  • Help maintain accurate documentation of audio equipment, setups, and procedures. 

 

TECHNICAL & IT ASSISTANCE

  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve basic studio connectivity or performance issues. 
  • Support the implementation of new audio system standards across locations. 
  • Learn to interpret technical diagrams and manuals related to audio systems. 
  • Assess studio locations to determine the best audio installation solutions. 
  • Assist with inventory tracking and organization of audio equipment. 
  • Perform regular maintenance on installed audio systems. 
  • Provide training to studios on how to use new systems. 
  • Manage inventory for critical items for department break / fix items. 

TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION

  • Provide basic training and guidance to studio staff on audio equipment use. 
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and other departments to resolve issues. 
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in audio engineering through self-directed learning. 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on project deliverables.

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience or internship in audio engineering, live sound, or AV installation (academic or freelance experience acceptable). 
  • Basic understanding of sound systems and audio signal flow. 
  • Familiarity with common audio equipment (e.g., mixers, speakers, amplifiers, microphones). 
  • Interest in developing skills in audio installation and troubleshooting. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. 
  • Good communication and customer service skills. 
  • Willingness to travel for onsite work and studio support. 
  • Ability to lift and move audio equipment (up to ~50 lbs). 
  • Flexible availability, including some evenings or weekends as needed. 
  • Technical training or coursework in audio engineering or related field is a plus. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting. 
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems. 
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. 
  • Attention to detail and a strong emphasis on quality.
