Position Overview:
The VIP Host is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with high-value players, ensuring a top-tier guest experience, and facilitating casino services. The role involves overseeing VIP room operations, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, and coordinating with multiple departments to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Player Engagement & Experience
- Build and maintain relationships with VIP guests, ensuring personalized and high-quality service.
- Introduce yourself to patrons, gather relevant player information, and track preferences.
- Ensure VIP players are properly signed in and tracked in the system.
- Provide hotel and event services for VIP guests, including booking accommodations and securing event tickets.
- Handle VIP requests and escalate any high-priority issues to management.
Game Operations & Compliance
- Monitor MTL/BSA thresholds to ensure compliance with financial transaction regulations.
- Maintain and review ITCS transaction logs as required.
- Understand and utilize the BRAVO or any casino system for player tracking and game management.
- Assist in starting and breaking games, verifying hands, and making game rule decisions when necessary.
- Ensure dealers follow proper procedures and uphold game integrity.
- Address and manage problem players in accordance with casino policies.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Complete reimbursement slips and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Track daily VIP player statistics and provide reports to management.
- Assist in organizing sensitive player contact information and statistics.
- Communicate with VIPs via email, phone, or in-person for event bookings, hotel reservations, and promotional offers.
- Assist in sending promotional materials to consenting VIP patrons and logging all VIP-related requests.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in casino operations, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Strong understanding of casino games.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with high-value players.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with casino management systems (e.g., BRAVO) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multilingual abilities (Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, or other relevant languages) are a plus.
- Experience handling high-end clientele in a casino or hospitality setting.
Licenses:
- A casino work permit from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
- The Bilingual Casino VIP Host is responsible for overseeing the guest experience department processes. Regarding the supervision of employees, however, this position is limited to making suggestions or recommendations regarding the staff to the Director of Guest Experience, who holds a Key Employee or Officer License. The Director of Guest Experience is the position that makes managerial decisions on behalf of guest experience department. The Bilingual Casino VIP Host understands and acknowledges he/she cannot take any action that would require a Key Employee license.
Other Requirements
- Able to travel domestically or internationally if necessary to meet the existing customer base.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift excluding breaks and meal periods.
- Able to lift over 25 lbs.
- Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all tasks.
- Outstanding attendance/punctuality.
- Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance.
- Must have a Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
