We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician to work in our Goodrich, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for carrying out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline activities and will be called on to assist with operations and maintenance of Gulf South’s compressor facilities in Goodrich, TX as well as other area facilities as required.  This position will be responsible for environmental health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline and compressor system. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, reading rectifiers, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, gas sampling, one-calls, gas quality monitoring and assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities, compressor operations/maintenance and repairs, and compressor inspections. In this role, you may occasionally be required to assist at other nearby areas and will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety-related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and will be part of the on-call rotation for the Goodrich, TX area for responding to emergency or abnormal situations. The successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Goodrich TX office in order to respond to call outs expediently.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Physical requirements standing/walking carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
• Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
• Strong computer skills / Experience with Microsoft modules
• Excellent verbal communications skills
• Ability to read, comprehend and execute company policies and procedures.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Commitment to personal and team safety

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
• College or technical school degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma /Equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

• College or Technical Degree
