The Risk Analyst assists in the organization’s risk management functions. The primary job responsibilities include supporting the risk management program with the goal of reducing the organization’s total cost of risk. The Risk Analyst works under the direction and supervision of the Risk Manager, but also provides analytical and administrative support to a team of Regional Loss Control Managers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops relationships with internal and external insurance carriers, medical providers, and broker teams
- Assists with annual corporate insurance renewal process by gathering and organizing data requested by insurance carriers and brokers
- Builds relationships with external partners (insurance broker, third-party claims administrator, RMIS software vendor)
- Processes monthly invoicing from insurance carriers and third party administrators
- Administers the Auto Insurance ID program and Bond Program
- Assists with development of staff training materials
- Serves as a scribe and provide administrative support for Regional Loss Control Managers as needed
- Masters Asbury’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS) with the intent to be able to help train associates and troubleshoot issues when needed
- Oversees and organizes the handling of certificates of insurance, working closely with our broker to procure certificates as requested
- Analyzes and uses information gained through the RMIS to identify critical areas of risk and work with the risk management team to identify measures to mitigate those risks
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual metrics and reports for distribution to senior management
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management or a related field
- 2+ years of experience working in a corporate Risk Management capacity
- Analytical competency: capable of manipulating complex data in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and our RMIS
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proactively address issues, anticipates problems before they arise
- Well organized; project oriented mindset
