The purpose of the Estimator position is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. To act as a liaison between the client and the body shop and to estimate the cost of repairing clients damaged vehicle.

  • Must be able to drive and operate vehicle
  • Greet clients and educate them on the repair process
  • Examine damaged vehicles for dents, scratches, broken glass, and other damage requiring repair, replacement, or repainting, for related and unrelated accident damage
  • Examine interior for evidence of fire, water, or other damage
  • Determine feasibility of repair or replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors Estimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs
  • Compute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by client Prepares and explains itemized estimate to clients
  • Prepare a work order for each vehicle
  • Obtain required signatures and authorizations for repairs
  • Negotiate with the insurance company on repair claim costs
  • Schedule and coordinates repairs with technicians
  • Notify the client when repairs are completed and the vehicle is ready for delivery
  • Keep clients informed of progress every other day
  • Order parts on repairs, in cooperation with technicians
  • Review supplemental damage with technicians and insurance adjusters
  • Oversee vehicle repair throughout the repair process
  • Keeps client informed of repair status with updates given at client’s request
  • Quality inspect the vehicle following repairs to verify that repairs have been done properly Handles telephone calls regarding vehicle status
  • Update Body Shop Manager daily on car status
  • Allocate the work to the body and paint techs on a fair basis and in such a manner to ensure a smooth flow of work to each technician
  • Know and understand the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process and use the program to achieve client satisfaction
  • Know and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policies, and adhere to the requirements
  • Attend weekly department meetings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements
