Location: In-office (Cedar Falls, IA)

What you’ll do as an Accounts Receivable-Rehab Associate: 

  • Prepare and submit accurate and complete billing statements for resident charges to the appropriate payers.

  • Verify insurance coverage prior to services being provided and maintain accurate resident data in the EMR system.

  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence related to reimbursements in a timely and professional manner.

  • Monitor and clear eligibility verification (EV) weekly in PCC.

  • Collect and input demographic information such as name, DOB, address, phone, and insurance card copies.

  • Stay current on all local, state, and federal billing regulations and payer requirements.

  • Willingness to assist with additional business office duties related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as needed.

  • Participate in claim appeals and denials management; ensure timely follow-up with appropriate payer sources.

  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

  • Exhibit professionalism and a high level of ethics and integrity in all communications and tasks.

  • Work cooperatively with residents, families, staff, vendors, auditors, and insurance representatives.

Requirements of an Accounts Receivable-Rehab Associate: 

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • (Preferred) Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a healthcare-related business office

  • Familiarity with insurance verification and medical billing processes is highly valued.

  • Demonstrate dependability by adhering to the work schedule

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Proven organizational abilities and time management skills.

  • Must be able to manage several projects simultaneously paying close attention to details.

  • Must be able to read, speak and write fluent English.
