Position Summary

 

The Production Team Lead is responsible for ensuring production goals are executed in a timely manner while adhering to US Auto Sales cosmetic and mechanical standards. The Production Team Lead will control workflow in all areas of the reconditioning process including: technician and/or shop support, detail, inventory, quality control, EMI, vehicle branding, and administrative duties.

  • Supports Production Manager and Production Supervisor with the management of the reconditioning operations.
  • Assists with the oversight of the day-to-day operations to encompass all areas of the reconditioning process.
  • Performs tasks alongside employees to ensure safety, efficiency and productivity of the operation.
  • Trains in all areas of the reconditioning process to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assists the Production Supervisor with repair order approvals, parts follow-up, vehicle prioritization, vehicle movement, and vendor management.
  • Manages the technicians and hourly employees in the absence of production supervisor/manager.
  • Maintains the supply of materials/chemicals and maintenance of shop equipment.
  • Directs the training, and development of employees.
  • Cultivates an enthusiastic work environment that will build positive employee attitudes and increase employee morale.
  • Suggests and implements ideas to improve efficiency/production.
  • Follows safety guidelines to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 – 5 years of automotive repair experience
  • Current State Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Excellent communication Skills (verbal and written)
  • Result oriented.
  • Strong analysis and decision making ability

 

Preferred

  • Vocational/Technical College certification
  • ASE Certification
  • 2– 4 years of experience in supply chain environment.
  • Knowledgeable of current automotive trends
  • Knowledgeable of advanced automotive diagnostic equipment
