Carpenter

WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a Division of Tuff Shed, the industry leader in storage buildings, is currently looking for a Carpenter - Painting/Trim at our Plant in Barstrop, TX.  We're looking for motivated and team oriented individuals!

The Carpenter, Painting/Trim is based at the manufacturing plant in Bastrop, TX, and has overall responsibility for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques, while adhering to safety and production standards and meeting customer specifications. 

DUTIES INCLUDE: 

• Installs and repairs molding and trim found on windows, doors, baseboards, mantels, and other ornamental pieces.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of measurements and precision to ensure a seamless and aesthetic finish.
• Reads, interprets, and follows complex blueprints and building plans.
• Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools, such as squares, rules, and chisels.
• Frequently works with materials such as wood, vinyl, fiberglass, and metal.
• Fits and installs window frames and interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level.
• Finishes surfaces of woodwork buildings, using paint and hand tools.
• Verifies trueness of structure with a carpenter's level.
• Wears appropriate protective gear and ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
• Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following: 
  • Erector/Siding
  • Electrical
  • Flooring
  • Framing
  • Press/Rafting
  • Ramps/Accessories
  • Roofing
  • Small Structures
  • Trusses
  • Vinyl            

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Common knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well as a member of the team
• Ability to paint
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at least 100 feet
