Location: The Salvation Army, Gastonia, NC

Position Type:     Hourly, 25 Hours per week

Pay Range:         $ 10.48/hr to $ 13.10/hr

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for

Key responsibilities:

• Pick up food from various vendors
• Assist handing out food on food pantry days
• Drive carefully, complying with traffic signs and weather conditions

What we are looking for in you:

• Valid driver license
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to sort and determine suitability of food and donated items

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, lifting, and walking on a frequent change basis.

Moderate amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) frequently.

Work is usually performed in a normal food pantry environment where there is some physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, with the exception of driving conditions.
