Associate Director - Financial Aid Continuing Students
The Associate Director of Student Finance- Continuing Students is responsible for the training, and team performance of Financial Aid Advisors by providing exemplary customer service and assisting current students navigate through various funding options to finance the remainder of their education. The position is highly focused on the compliant progression of students through the life cycle of their program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staff Development- train, and develop team members.
- Compliance- ensure each Continuing Financial Aid Advisor reviews the prior Academic Year Award for errors, makes adjustments when necessary, and uses common errors as a training opportunity.
- Systems- understands and can help others navigate the systems needed to best assist students with funding options., such as Campus Nexus, Moodle, MY Livechat, Zoom, NSLDS, COD, BankMobile.
- Operations- ensure that each Continuing Financial Aid Advisor is progressing through their assigned student list culminating in a packaging rate of 95% by start date, while ensuring that students graduating are either leaving with a zero (0) balance or have an appropriate payment plan in place upon graduation.
- Stipends – Manage the ongoing stipend flow of stipends through accounting and the third party processor BankMobile.
- VA Certifying Official – the Associate Director is a participating VA Certifying Official and helps manage the ongoing certifications for active students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- 1- 2 years experience working in Financial Aid.
- Experience Running and analyzing CVue Reports.
- Prior VA Certifying Official Experience preferred.
- Must be familiar with Title IV Handbook, and navigating essential reference material

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business equipment. Siting for long periods of time; up to 8 hours of computer and/or phone work daily.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment.

The expected salary range for this position is between $62,000 and $67,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
