Career Services Coordinator
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for verifying the externship worksite by confirming the student’s employment and approving and processing externship/employment-related documents. The Career Services Coordinator will also review all paperwork and follow process workflow to ensure there are no compliance discrepancies and will encourage students to complete all program requirements enabling the student to secure work in the industry. The Career Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Career Services Representative through the research and preparation of relevant job leads, job search resources and setting of appointments for phone and Zoom sessions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies, approves and processes all Career Services student, externship and employer documents.
- Reviews all paperwork and follows process workflow ensuring zero compliance discrepancies.
- Oversees compliance with organization and archiving of documentation in all systems.
- Assists in student searching for open opportunities for externship.
- Creates job resources for students including letters of interest and custom portfolios of work.
- Encourages students to complete all program requirements and secure work in the industry through multiple types of outreach.
- Track and contact assigned cohorts of students to inspire and motivate to maintain turning weekly documentation and participate in Moodle classroom.
- Provide administrative and project support to Career Services Representatives as needed.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associates preferred.
- Knowledge of the educational environment preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business equipment. Siting for a long periods of time; up to 8 hours of computer and/or phone work daily.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment.

The expected hourly range for this position is between $21.15 and $24.03 Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
