Facility Manager

The Budd Group is looking for a Facility Manager to oversee the Janitorial and Landscape operations at our site in Charlottesville, VA. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be the primary point of contact for the client, dedicated to ensuring that all janitorial and landscaping services are delivered with unparalleled excellence, efficiency, and professionalism. This is your chance to leverage your deep knowledge of the janitorial and landscaping industries. You'll be responsible for cultivating strong client relationships centered around these core services, managing vendor contracts specifically within janitorial and landscaping, leading and developing a high-performing team focused on these areas, and driving continuous improvement in service quality and safety standards within janitorial and landscaping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and consistent communication, specifically regarding janitorial and landscaping services.
- Customize and implement service programs tailored to client needs and site specifications, with a strong emphasis on janitorial and landscaping best practices.
- Oversee maintenance operations related to janitorial equipment and landscaping assets, including preventive and emergency repairs.
- Manage and monitor performance metrics, budgets, and operational reports specifically for janitorial and landscaping services.
- Ensure safety programs are implemented and followed across all janitorial and landscaping service activities.
- Lead and develop a team of janitorial and landscaping professionals, including staffing, training, and performance management.
- Oversee third-party service providers specifically for janitorial and landscaping, ensuring their alignment with client expectations and quality standards.
- Ensure all janitorial and landscaping services comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in managing janitorial and/or landscaping services.
- Strong technical knowledge of janitorial practices, landscaping maintenance, and related equipment and systems.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets related to janitorial and landscaping operations.
- Proficient with general business software and reporting tools.
- Strong communication, client service, and team-building skills, particularly within the context of janitorial and landscaping teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent experience such as industry-specific certifications in janitorial or landscaping management).
