Job Title: Janitorial Shift Supervisor
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday,  8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: Amherst, VA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Janitorial Shift Supervisor to lead and support a team of custodial staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate janitorial staff during assigned shift

• Ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained according to company standards

• Monitor supply levels and assist with inventory control

• Train new employees on proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality control

• Communicate with management regarding staffing, supplies, and maintenance issues

• Assist with hands-on cleaning duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience (1+ year preferred)

• Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods

• Reliable transportation to and from the Amherst location
