Are you an experienced and dedicated Floor Tech looking for a stable evening position? Our local community college in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a skilled individual to join our facilities team!

Position: Experienced Evening Floor Tech

Location: Roanoke, VA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM (25 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain various floor equipment, including ride-on scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers, and high-speed buffers.
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing VCT and other hard floor surfaces.
• Utilize backpack vacuums for carpeted areas and general dust removal.
• Execute general cleaning duties as needed, including but not limited to trash removal, restroom cleaning, and dusting.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas to a high standard.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Floor Tech, specifically with operating ride-on scrubbers, and performing waxing and stripping procedures.
• Familiarity with various floor types and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass a lifetime criminal background check.
