SUMMARY

The Sales Associate will provide efficient, accurate, informative, and friendly sales experience to all Tamarack guests. This person will be up to date on all Tamarack ticket products, discounts, and promotions, and will provide guests with their best purchase options for the duration of their stay.

   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Responsible for sales and fulfillment of all products including season passes, daily lift tickets, sports school services, retail items and rental products.  
  • Ensure Tamarack Resort standards of service are always delivered.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guest, homeowners, and fellow employees.
  • Keep retail sales shop in neat and orderly, keeping the dressing room free of merchandise, folding and general straightening. 
  • Receive ordered merchandise; check it in against the purchase order and packing slip, tag and stock items.
  • Restock merchandise which has sold down.  Inform manager of products which are running low. 
  • Operate as a sales representative, matching guests’ needs to the correct product. 
  • Fully understand and be able to properly utilize all sales functions on the Tamarack Resort ticketing system.
  • Summarize all cash and credit card sales. 
  • Complete all cash-out procedures required for daily sales.  Balance receipts with the computer print off of daily sales. 
  • Provide guests with accurate lift status, weather conditions and details on current or upcoming mountain events. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.
  • Preferred knowledge in a Point-of-Sale system. 
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Must be over 16 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

Prior work experience with a ski resort, seasonal business and/or the hospitality industry is highly preferred. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
