Program Overview
Sequel Youth and Family Services of Tuskegee, is an intensive residential treatment facility providing an array of gender specific, evidenced based and trauma informed services for male, ages 12-18, with serious and/or chronic emotional and/or behavioral management problems that interfere with the child’s ability to function in the family, school and/or community setting outside of a residential environment.
Overview
The intern studies and learns how to effectively provide individual, family, and group therapy as well as case management services within a residential treatment environment. Position requires professional communication and liaison with parents, referral sources, and other treatment professionals. This position consists of interacting directly with adolescents with defiant behavior and oppositional conduct disorders.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess a valid internship requirement from their university to obtain their Bachelors or Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or closely related clinical field. A minimum of 21 years of age or older is required. A clean criminal background, and valid drivers license. Additional requirements as set forth by program policy, and university expectations.
