DESCRIPTION sUMMARY

Enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency on plant equipment at company facilities. Blend technical maintenance skills with process improvement initiatives. Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshoot recurring equipment issues. Collaborate with operators and maintenance teams to drive floor-level improvements. Implement data-driven solutions to reduce downtime and boost productivity.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead SugarCreek Performance System implementation and coach execution at the site, realizing annual savings and performance objectives.
  • Oversee installation and participate in new product lines transfers from other plants, working across departments to coordinate efforts and ensure a seamless transition while still delivering quality products.
  • Utilize Current Downtime Software Ignition to identify gaps in operational processes and make improvements.
  • Look for training opportunities to improve downtime efficiency across departments (Sanitation, Production, Maintenance).
  • Identify plant equipment that may need rebuilt to meet production needs.
  • Utilize teaching tools to help plants identify problem areas and look for improvement opportunities.
  • Guide people and resources to the highest value initiatives in the right sequence to have the most impactful contribution to the company.
  • Utilize analytics to organize data to identify short and long-term structural gaps.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Lead or coordinate Continuous Improvement meetings for assigned departments.
  • Measure pertinent performance metrics to improve throughput efficiency.
  • Provide support to Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  • Work with Plant Management to foster a positive, high-energy work environment focused on continuous improvement and reaching production goals.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
  • Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Other requirements

No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with electrical maintenance positions, including mostly sitting with some standing/walking required. Other light physical activity like using stairs or occasionally moving items weighing less than 50lbs may be required as needed. Some travel may be required in between plants.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Some travel to other locations is required.

Most work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Some work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.
