Job Objective

The Recreational Therapy Assistant Manager assists residents of varying physical/cognitive/social functioning and provides opportunity to allow them to thrive as they participate in a wide variety of therapeutic activities in both group and 1:1 settings.

Job Standards

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy, Psychology, or related health field.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Openness for working with a wide variety of residents, with varying levels of physical/ cognitive function.
4. Creativity in planning and implementing activities.
5. Ability to multi-task the various duties.
6. Basic computer skills for regulatory documentation and obtaining programming resources.
7. Flexibility to work weekend hours.
8. Ability to safely perform essential functions of the job without harm to self or others, or without reasonable accommodation.
9. Able to safely perform essential functions of the job without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
