Position:  Staff RN, 50-bed Skilled Nursing/Rehab Facility, FT Days, 64hrs/bi-weekly

Job Objective:    

Using the nursing process (SBAR [Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendations]), the staff RN provides nursing care to meet the physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs of a group of residents. The staff RN responds in emergency situations to assure resident safety and security.

Job Standards:

1.    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, including current and unrestricted licensure by the State of Wisconsin.
   2.    Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in relating to residents, families, and health team members.
   3.    Must possess the understanding and ability to comply with federal and state rules and regulations such as OBRA, HSS 132, Nurse Practice Act, etc., as they apply to Nursing Homes.
   4.    Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self and others.
   5.    Must be CPR certified.
   6.    Follow "The Standard of Practice for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses" as defined in Chapter N, State of Wisconsin Administrative Code, Board of Nursing.
   7.    Ability to safely perform all essential job functions without causing harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodations.
