Benefits Coordinator
Spring Education Group is a multi-brand education network of superior private school institutions spanning infant care through high school. About the Role:
The Benefits Coordinator is an integral member of the Human Resources team, responsible for the administration and support of company benefit programs, including group health plans, the 401(k) retirement plan, leave of absence and accommodations programs, and workers’ compensation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring company compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while also fostering strong relationships with school leaders, the Human Resources and Payroll teams, and external insurance carriers and vendors. The Benefits Coordinator will serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance and support across all benefit and leave-related matters to enhance the overall employee experience.
**This is a hybrid position based out of our Scottsdale, Arizona office**
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, EAP, 401(k)) using our HRIS system (Dayforce experience a plus).
- Process enrollments, life events, and manage communications around benefits, COBRA, and Evidence of Insurability.
- Coordinate with payroll on deductions and premium collections.
- Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, Paid Leave, Workers’ Compensation) and liaise with third-party vendors.
- Respond to agency documentation requests and manage regulatory compliance.
- Support audits, reporting, and special HR projects as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree (preferred).
- 1–2 years’ experience in benefits and leave administration.
- Knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, ADA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and State Paid Leave programs.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); HRIS experience preferred.
