About the Role

 

The Lower School Director (Kindergarten – 4th grade) is an important member of the Senior Leadership Team. They will work closely with all administrators in the school to bring life to our purpose of “connecting students to their unique futures.” The Lower School Director provides leadership and guidance to ensure the best possible school environment, as well as maximum opportunities for growth and development for all members of our school community.

 

Most importantly, our schools embrace a culture of care—physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, both in and out of the classroom. This position will play a critical role in guiding this culture to ensure a community where children are at the center of everything we do, and creating an optimal learning environment that is safe, welcoming, and well-organized.

 

You will also…

 

  • Assign daily staff duties and schedules

  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of school events

  • Create a supportive and open environment for collaboration between faculty and staff

  • Assist the Head of School in planning special school events

  • Build strong relationships and rapport with students, parents, and faculty

This position is for our Los Gatos, CA campus

 

What We Are Looking For

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education

    • Master’s or other advanced degree preferred

  • 3 – 5 years of leadership experience in a lower school environment preferred

  • Administrative experience strongly preferred

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
