We are looking for a caring, organized Summer Camp Teacher with strong communication skills to join our team. As a Summer Camp Teacher, you will have an important role in creating an engaging and educational experience for campers during the summer months. You will be facilitating various art and STEAM activities and lessons while providing a fun and enriching environment. You will work collaboratively with other camp staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers.
This is a full-time seasonal position working Monday through Friday from June 2 - August 8
Key Responsibilities:

As a camp teacher, you will ensure the safety and supervision of campers at all times, both indoors and outdoors, during scheduled activities, meals, and free time.

Ensures accountability for campers in the specialty areas by conducting continuous headcounts.

Adheres to the daily activity schedule the Camp/Extended Care Director assigns.

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, enforcing camp rules and procedures.

Plans implements and leads specialty area activities and provides a supply list to the Camp Director.

Encourages camper participation in specialty activities and events.

Reports all accidents and injuries to the Camp/Extended Care Director or Camp Coordinator and completes accident reports.

Handles camper behavioral problems and provides acceptable discipline.

Informs the Camp Director of continuous behavioral issues with specific campers.

Maintains open communication with parents courteously and professionally.

Attends all scheduled camp staff meetings.

Work collaboratively with other camp teachers and staff members to coordinate schedules, share resources, and contribute to the overall success of the camp program.

Assists with arrival/dismissal time for walkers or carpool areas as requested.
Essential Skills & Experience:
At least 18 years of age.
Bachelor Degree required.
Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or childcare setting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and accommodate the needs of individual campers.
Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including outdoor activities and inclement weather conditions.
Wage Range $23.00-$26.00 Per Hour
