Camp Counselor/Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists and helps the lead teacher.
  • Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
  • Supervises campers and ensures their safety, general well-being, and cleanliness of the site.
  • Assists in leading various small and large group activities.
  • Ensures accurate program records are maintained, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
  • Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
  • Records and tracks camper’s dietary restrictions/allergies and ensures that the meals/snacks are distributed to them.
  • Mediates any campers’ disputes.
  • Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, ensuring the whereabouts of charges at all times.

Working Hours:

  • Option 1: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Option 2: 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM

Compensation:

  • $20/hour

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
  • Preferred certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
