The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing Simon & Schuster’s relationship with retail eBook accounts including Apple, NOOK, Google, Kobo as well as library accounts including Overdrive. The National Account manager will also be involved in advising publishers and setting strategy on eBook promotions and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account management for key retailers and library accounts including Apple, Nook, Google, Kobo, and Overdrive.
- Work with publishing partners to plan monthly eBook promotions and merchandising.
- Maintain and analyze sales reporting for eBook promotions and be able to speak to sales trends.
- Coordinate with Digital Ops team on eBook price and metadata changes through ONIX feed.
- Prepare for and lead account business reviews and list presentations.
- Prepare for and be able to speak to EBook sales and opportunities during weekly sales and marketing meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in online sales, preferably within the publishing industry.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for literature and digital innovation.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
