Tile Setter - Honolulu

Since 1988, we’ve replaced over 35 million feet of old and defective pipe in over 100,000 occupied apartments and condominiums, both on the island of O’ahu and across the nation. We’re turnkey – so everything removed to gain access to the pipes has to be restored, refinished, and reset with expert care and skilled precision.

CORE DUTIES:

·       Arrange tiles according to design plans

·       Prepare and apply mortar, grout, or other adhesives

·       Ensure finish quality of all surfaces (cleanliness, leveled, with attention to matching plans/specifications)

·       Removal and reinstallation of certain existing bathroom and kitchen tile

·       Installation of architectural finishes according to specification

·       Professional presentation and conduct at all times while working in client homes

·       Effective communications of project progress across to team members, leaders, and clients

·       Always maintain and uphold company quality and safety standards

·       Have a proven track record of safety

·       A willingness to take on other general repairs as needed

TO JOIN OUR TEAM, YOU MUST:

·       Be over 18 and able to work legally in the U.S.A

·       Be able to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment

·       Possess strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

·       Present yourself with a professional appearance and demeanor

·       Have a willingness to work hard all day, every day

·       Possess a clean background

·       Submit and pass a pre-employment drug test

·       Possess necessary hand tools required for the role

·       Be able to reliably get to and from the job site daily

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Experience in some/all types of other trade skills such as wall repair (drywall, plaster, etc.), finish carpentry, etc.

·       Possess strong tile repair/replacement, resetting cabinets and vanities.

·       Have experience working in occupied residential communities (apartments and condominiums)

·       Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of tile installation

·       Our ideal candidate will be well-rounded with some professional experience in tile installation or home remodel/repair

·       Attention to detail and high level of craftsmanship to ensure quality workmanship
