Program Overview:

River Edge is actively looking for a Full-time Group Leader to join the Baldwin Outpatient Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating group sessions, contributing to the therapeutic environment, and supporting the mental health and well-being of participants. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides a broad range of paraprofessional social services to patients/clients/consumers, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention.
  • Assists in dealing with personal and social problems.
  • May provide support to consumers and serve as a liaison for social services.
  • Prepares lesson plans for group topics, maintains medical records and documents daily group notes.
  • Performs case management duties, and group skills training and refers clients to needed services and resources.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social service-related field (social work, sociology, psychology, etc.).
  • License eligible in one of the following: LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW
  • At least one (1) year working with behavioral health clients (mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities).
