Compensation:
$73,569.00 - $84,593.60/yr (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)
Training:
Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
- Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
In addition, this position is part of Royal's workplace flexibility program and can be hybrid after training and being proficient in the position, which is typically the first 2-4 months in the role. Please Note: We reserve the right to extend the training time in office as necessary.
Purpose:
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial and data analysis, forecasting, and reporting of various financial information. You will analyze financial results and metrics to identify opportunities for performance improvements across the organization. Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial expertise and analysis on projects and strategic decisions.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling and Analysis
- Complete financial modeling on products, services, pricing, operations, and peers by analyzing profitability, trends, ratios, etc.
- Vet the viability of solutions using analytical technologies, statistical modeling and forecasting, data mining, predictive analytics, and visualization techniques.
- Assist in the execution of the CU’s annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting process by analyzing historical performance and external economic and environmental factors.
- Assist with asset liability management (ALM) modeling and reporting.
Reporting and Visualization
- Create written reports, build data visualizations, or present oral synopsis of results including opinion and recommending actions to management to optimize financial outcomes.
- Assist in initiatives to continuously improve and validate the accuracy of financial and data modeling, reporting, analysis, and visualizations to provide appropriate business insights and strategies.
Business Insights and Consulting
- Discover data-driven business insights and theories by identifying opportunities and providing solutions and recommendations to solve business problems.
- Build and maintain basic knowledge across all business units by staying current on initiatives, strategies, opportunities, and external economic impacts in order to act as a financial consultant to leaders.
- Explain financial concepts, advise on forecasting and modeling assumptions, and make recommendations for action, improvements, strategies, etc. to drive CU goals, strategic initiatives, and future performance.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Finance/Accounting function or at a Financial Institution.
- Strong sense of customer service, organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be bondable.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Financial Analyst experience
- Financial Institution experience
- Experience in Financial Data Analysis (SQL, PowerBI, etc.)
