Utility Worker - DIST (USA)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:  

​​Primarily responsible for housekeeping and various manual labor duties throughout the warehouse.  ​ 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• ​​​Work in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE. 

• ​Ensure the warehouse dock and aisles are clean, safe, and an efficient work environment. 

• ​Assist in loading of hand stacked containers. 

• ​Assist forklift operators in double-stacking cargo on the warehouse floor. 

• ​Ensure the parking lot is clean and free of trash and debris. 

• ​Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner 

• ​Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor. 

• ​Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Lead.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 

• ​​​Minimum 1 year experience in a warehouse environment. 

• ​Good math, language, and reading skills 

• ​Knowledge of proper PPE requirements 

• ​Considerate and respectful to coworkers 

• ​Good math, language, and reading skills 

• ​Able to follow instructions given for daily tasks

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

High School Diploma/GED 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day 

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck 

• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time. 

• Occasional climbing of ladders 

• Use of basic warehouse equipment 

• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
