Position Overview:
The ERP Systems Manager will be a key architect of PTA Plastics’ digital transformation, ensuring that our Infor CSI ERP system is not just a tool, but a catalyst for innovation and efficiency. This is a skills-based hire designed for a candidate with a holistic understanding of ERP systems, having progressed through system administration, database management, coding and development, business analysis, and project management.
This role requires a forward-thinking professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and business acumen to drive strategic initiatives that align with our 2035 vision.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Driving Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Act as a technology leader, aligning ERP capabilities with PTA Plastics’ 2035 Innovation Strategy.
- Identify and implement automation, data analytics, and AI-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop a roadmap for smart manufacturing and real-time decision-making.
ERP Administration & System Optimization
- Manage, configure, and optimize the Infor CSI ERP system to ensure peak performance.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring effective system utilization.
- Maintain system security, data integrity, and performance monitoring.
Database Management & Data-Driven Decision Making
- Oversee ERP database administration, optimization, and reporting.
- Develop and refine business intelligence dashboards and analytical tools for actionable insights.
- Ensure seamless data flow between ERP and other enterprise systems.
Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and drive process improvements.
- Act as a liaison between IT, operations, finance, and leadership to ensure the ERP system supports strategic goals.
- Lead ERP enhancement projects, including system upgrades and integrations.
Project Management & Change Leadership
- Oversee ERP-related projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Implement best practices in change management, ensuring smooth transitions for new processes and technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies that can further PTA Plastics’ innovation goals.
Job Qualifications & Skills
Technical Expertise
- Deep experience with Infor CSI (or similar ERP systems) administration and development.
- Experience with the Infor Mongoose tool set.
- Programming experience in SQL, VB.net and C#.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, stored procedures, and data management.
- Experience with ERP customization, automation, and API integrations.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, AI-driven analytics, and IoT connectivity.
Business & Strategic Thinking
- Understanding smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation trends.
- Strong business process analysis skills, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to drive cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements through ERP enhancements.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in ERP system administration, database management, coding, and business analytics.
- Strong background in manufacturing IT solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required if experience sufficiently meets qualifications).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including noise, heat, cold, and exposure to chemicals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection when on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing machinery.
- Ability to receive, comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following: Hazard Communication, Lock Out/Tag Out, First Aid and CPR (optional).
