Position Title: Aquatics Program Coordinator 
Location: CDPHP Fitness Connect at the Ciccotti Center
Type: Full Time - $24/hour - Bonus Opportunities Included

Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers. Power Wellness is a medical fitness industry pioneer who improves the lives of clients with a unique and customized approach to medical fitness center development and management. Their turnkey method takes away the stress of the development and management process allowing clients to focus on other areas of their business. 

The Aquatics Program Coordinator provides leadership and direction to the Fitness and/or Aquatic Department Associates. They ensure associates are providing the highest level of programming and customer service to members and guests of the facility. The Aquatics Program Coordinator provides long term planning for the Special programs in the Fitness and Aquatics Departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Provide leadership, direction and oversight of staff and special program activities.
2. Ensure that pools and surrounding areas are clean, safe and well maintained.
3. Ensure that the pool, exercise equipment and emergency equipment is maintained and organized.
4. Coordinate swim lessons and all aquatic programs and provide a schedule of pool activities for members.
5. Plan in-service workshops and certifications for instructors to support the maintenance of CEC’s required to keep certifications current.
6. Contribute to the marketing efforts of the center and aquatics programs both within the center and the community, plan and facilitate revenue generating Special Programs.
7. Respond to any member feedback or issues in a timely manner and in coordination with management.
8. Oversee the schedule and substitution of staff as needed to ensure that all programs are appropriately covered.
9. Conduct regular evaluations/audits of Special Programs.
10. Coordinate with departments for program development.
11. Encourage employee professional growth through training, supervision, empowerment, continuous performance management and feedback.
12. Provide regular feedback, write and conduct interim and annual performance reviews.
13. Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
14. Participate in management meetings and all-team meetings.
15. Assist with department work schedules and timecards.
16. Assist with hiring and training all Aquatic and Fitness Department associates.
17. Work Manager on Duty shifts as assigned.
18. Maintain friendly, well trained and customer service-oriented staff, and inter-department relationships.
19. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities.
20. Work towards meeting departmental and organizational goals.
21. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours and work schedules.
22. Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.
23. Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence communicating with EMS.
24. Participate in Company's HIPAA and related training.
25. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions and work-related relationships with all persons at the center including but not limited to members, guests and employees as provided in the Employee Handbook at the time of hire.

27. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
•High School diploma or GED required.
•Bachelor’s degree and/or associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred.
•Minimum 2 years of experience as a lifeguard preferred.
•Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
•CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
•Current Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization required, if required by state law. Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred.
•Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred.
•Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
•Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
•Proficient computer skills.
