About the Position
We are seeking an Early to Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in one of the following Pond offices: Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA; Savannah, GA; Jacksonville, FL; Tampa, FL; Port Orange, FL; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Huntsville, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA, or as a Remote Employee. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of related MEP design engineering experience and a passion for growth, collaboration, and innovation.

In this role, the successful candidate will take a leadership role in the design of mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and piping. You will mentor junior-level MEP engineering professionals, guiding them through their career development and providing technical support. Additionally, you will support proposal efforts, ensuring that design projects are clearly defined and accurately scoped.

Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies, giving you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and deepen your skill set in building systems design. We are seeking a self-starter who can work independently, managing and efficiently moving through a variety of design stages, from concept plans to construction documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead projects and interact with clients while maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of related MEP design experience.
  • Proficiency with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior-level employees.
  • Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts, and interfacing with clients.
  • EIT certification preferred, with plans to obtain PE license in the near future.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to multi-tasking.
  • Self-motivated to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability and desire to continue learning and growing professionally.
