Summary:

The Lead Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes by providing expert technical support, diligently monitoring and managing material inventory levels, and proactively ordering supplies to prevent disruptions. This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of production workflows, quality standards, and inventory management principles. The Lead Service Technician will troubleshoot technical issues, implement preventative maintenance measures, contribute to process improvements, maintain optimal material availability, and ensure adherence to production targets and quality metrics.

Pay range: $25.44 + DOE

 

Responsibilities:

Production Quality & Technical Service:

  • Oversee product inspections to verify PMSI quality standards.
  • Develop/implement technical solutions and process adjustments to enhance output/reduce defects.
    • Collaborate with teams/management on technical challenges/improvements.
    • Assist in training technicians on procedures/standards.
    • Establish/maintain optimal min/max inventory levels for critical materials.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits for accuracy/shortage identification.
    • Proactively initiate material orders for timely replenishment with our Procurement team.
    • Receive/inspect incoming materials for quantity/quality/conformance and complete receiving process to PMSI expectations.
    • Organize/maintain efficient/safe material storage.
    • Participate in inventory planning.
    • Provide technical guidance/support to other personnel.
    • Foster a collaborative/proactive quality-focused environment.
  • In the absence of the Operations Manager and Supervisor, this role assumes responsibility for overseeing daily operations.
  • Adhere to/promote safety.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a service technician in a production or manufacturing environment, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing PMSI or equivalent equipment.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and preventative maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with inventory management principles and practices, including setting min/max levels and ordering materials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • A strong focus on ensuring a safe working environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment.
  • Working on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for extended periods.
  • Lifting 50 pounds and carrying a minimum of 25 pounds for up to 250 feet unassisted.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Working more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day.
