Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Supervise banquet servers and support staff, ensuring polished, timely, and thoughtful service throughout each function.
  • Act as the main point of contact during events, communicating with clients, guests, and departments to ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings to review service plans, menu knowledge, and individual assignments.
  • Ensure event spaces are properly staged, clean, and guest-ready, with attention to layout, linens, service ware, and décor.
  • Monitor service flow and adapt as needed to changing guest needs or event dynamics.
  • Address guest concerns or last-minute changes with professionalism and a solutions-first mindset.
  • Support team training and mentoring efforts to maintain a culture of hospitality and service excellence.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of banquet supplies, reporting shortages or needs to leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies throughout the event.

 

Who You Are

  • A confident and organized leader who shines in high-energy, event-driven settings.
  • Experienced in banquet or event service, with at least 1–2 years in a lead server or supervisory role.
  • Comfortable managing both the big picture and the small details that make events unforgettable.
  • Skilled in multitasking and able to stay calm and composed under pressure.
  • A clear communicator who motivates teams and connects easily with guests and coworkers alike.
  • Flexible with scheduling, including availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods during long shifts.
  • ServSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred or required depending on local regulations.
