You lead with expertise, support your team, and ensure every space—from guest rooms to public areas—runs smoothly behind the scenes. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and team assignments.
• Lead, work alongside, and guide the maintenance team to ensure the property’s infrastructure—HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and life safety—is operating efficiently.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to their experience.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members, fostering a culture of safety, care, and pride in workmanship.
• Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate timely repairs for guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, safety checks, and equipment usage.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage) to address operational needs and support smooth hotel operations.
• Step in to lead the department in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
• Assist with vendor coordination, project execution, and capital improvement planning as needed.

Who You Are

• A hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a heart for service.
• Experienced in hotel, residential, or commercial building maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior technician role.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and performing repairs across multiple trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, etc.).
• Calm under pressure and effective at coordinating work in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-minded and highly organized, with a proactive approach to property upkeep.
• Physically able to lift, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks in varied conditions.
• Flexible with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
• Holds relevant certifications or licenses based on local requirements (preferred but not required).
