Tennis Coach (Seasonal)

The Tennis Pro/Coach is responsible for organizing and instructing the tennis program(s).  You will be responsible for: private and semi-private lessons, group lessons and summer camp tennis week. 

PLEASE NOTE: With the exception of the summer tennis camp weeks of July 21^st - July 25^th and August 11^th - August 15^th, this position is mainly per diem (as needed). Private tennis lessons are paid at a rate of 70% of the lesson cost, plus regular hourly wage. Total wages earned during non-camp weeks is based on number of lessons given. See below for details. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high level quality coaching and instruction for private and group lessons.
• Organize, schedule, and conduct individual lessons for players of all ages.
• Ability to build positive relationships with members and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing, and positive.
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
• Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2 years of playing and/or teaching tennis
• Available for the following dates:
• July 21^st - July 25^th Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM (Camp week)
• August 11^th - August 15^th Monday-Friday 9:00AM-3:00PM (Camp week)
• Flexibility to schedule private and semi-private lessons at the request of members

• Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• May include outdoor work and exposure to related weather conditions to include but not limited to: sunshine, wind, rain, warm & cool temperatures.

COMPENSATION DETAILS: 

• Offered rate of pay: $16.66 - $16.66 per hour
• Eligible for overtime
• Receives 70% of lesson fee for all group & private lessons taught
