Job Summary:

 

The Field Service Engineering Technician (FSET) will provide expert on-site and remote support for Auburn’s dust particulate sensors and B-PAC™ controllers, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role involves 50% travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, and commissioning, with the remaining time spent in-office supporting customers remotely, managing the Insight reporting platform, and delivering customer training. The FSE will collaborate with the automation team, provide actionable recommendations, and complete detailed site visit reports.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Install and Commission Equipment: Install, calibrate, and commission dust particulate sensors (e.g., DynaCHARGE™ PM series) and B-PAC™ controllers at customer sites to ensure operational reliability and compliance with specifications.

  • Perform Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair equipment using technical manuals and schematics to minimize downtime at customer facilities

  • Provide Customer Recommendations: Offer specific, actionable recommendations to optimize system performance, sensor accuracy, and filtration processes based on site evaluations.

  • Complete and Review Site Visit Reports: Document service activities, performance metrics, and recommendations in detailed site visit reports, reviewing findings with customers on-site for transparency.

  • Manage Insight Reporting Platform: Collaborate with the automation team to address customer-facing issues on the Insight platform, including data analysis, report generation, and commissioning support.

  • Provide Remote Customer Support: Resolve customer inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, or virtual platforms, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

  • Deliver Customer Training: Develop and conduct training sessions (in-person and virtual) on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and Insight platform usage to empower customers.

  • Collaborate with Automation Team: Partner with the automation team to integrate customer feedback into platform enhancements and support product development initiatives

 

We believe you have:
Your Experience & Education

 

  • Minimum Requirement of Associate’s Degree, working towards OR completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • 6 Months of related experience within an instrumental monitoring field.  1-2 year experience in industrial manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of particulate monitoring or filtration systems (e.g., baghouses, dust collectors).
