Summary:

The R&D Technician position supports the R&D department by producing and testing samples, preparing supporting documentation and providing organizational support.

 

Duties Include:

  • Scale ingredients for fruit-based lab formulations and report findings in a clear and organized way.  Document all processes and procedures from start to end.
  • Prepare documentation for samples and finished products:  Specification Sheets, Nutritional's, Allergen Declaration etc.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the lab.
  • Communicate with all departments when projects are finalized.  
  • Learn and maintain database for Nutritional labeling.
  • Update formulations and ingredients in company ERP system (NDS).
  • Support Kosher program by providing current Kosher certificates, submitting new formulations for Kosher approval and maintain Kosher database.
  • Organizing new ingredient paperwork.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Work in a cooperative and respectful environment.
  • Use experience to troubleshoot processing challenges.
  • Perform tab testing & equipment calibration-water activity, pH and brix.
  • Learn how to utilize labeling software and create labels.
  • Work along side receiving team to approve incoming raw materials.

 

Compensation: 

The starting hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
