Qualifications you’ll bring:
Education, Licensures, & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree in public health (MPH) preferred.
- Certification in project management program completed or planned.
Years of Experience (Required & Preferred)
- At least seven years of experience in healthcare, project management or related fields (could include experience from being a MPH student).
- At least five years of experience in healthcare, preferably in health insurance, pharmaceuticals, or care delivery.
- Successful completion of an internship in the healthcare ecosystem, e.g., health plan, provider, state government, community-based organization, etc.
- Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in analytics and data-driven decision-making preferred.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to craft clear reports, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Strong relationship management skills for building partnerships with external vendors, startups, and non-profits.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex challenges.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- The ability to use influence to drive alignment, gain stakeholder buy-in, and advance strategic initiatives.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing projects.
- Skilled in decision-making, conflict resolution, and risk management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, and Visio for process mapping and workflow visualization.
- Basic understanding of health data systems and integration (e.g., EHRs, digital platforms, etc.)
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee project plans to implement clinical innovation initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships with startups, providers, and community organizations enabling whole-person health. Conduct research and due diligence to assess their value and reimbursement eligibility.
- Ensure human-centered design principles are applied by working with member experience colleagues, clinical operations, digital, customer service, provider services, providers, community organizations, etc. to ensure innovation initiatives address member, provider, and partner needs. Conduct discovery research, synthesize insights, and frame problems to guide solution development.
- Coordinate across departments and with Belong Health to ensure smooth execution and alignment with MVP’s strategic goals.
- Track progress, manage risks, and provide executive-level updates on project status.
- Standardize roadmaps, processes and workflows by developing and refining project management templates, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and create scalable, repeatable processes.
- Foster collaboration between clinical teams, technology partners, and all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure projects enhance patient experience and deliver measurable health outcomes.
- Grow expertise in understanding all aspects of the health plan business with the aim to become “part of the bench” for growth in the health plan.
- Stay current on healthcare innovation by researching trends, e.g., monitoring the health tech startup ecosystem.
