Banquet Server  (ON-CALL)

Job Description:

To prepare tables, serve and clean for banquet functions.

Typical Work Conditions:

Ballroom, meeting rooms, lounge and kitchen areas, poolside, paddock, off-site.

Equipment Used:

Serving carts, chafing dishes, sternos, glassware, china, silverware, tables and chairs, linen, decorations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to communicate in English both written and oral.
• 2^nd language helpful.  
• Wait staff experience required.
• Hotel or catering experience helpful.
• Bartending experience helpful but not necessary.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work individually and as a team.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Able to lift 25lbs constantly.
• Able to walk or stand for long periods.

Essential Tasks:

• Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
• Ensure menu knowledge.
• Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion. of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary. to maintain positive working relationships.
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning.
• Stocking, folding silverware, taking garbage out, etc.
